Biography
Sumeyra Gurkok was born in 1981 in Ankara, Turkey. She received the B.E. degree in Biology from Ankara University in 2002 and integrated Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology from the Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey in 2012. During her PhD, she has been in Manchester, UK, as a visiting researcher for a year in Manchester Institute of Biotechnology in 2009 – 2010. In 2013, she joined the Department of Biology, Ataturk University, as a Dr Research Assistant. Since 2013, she has been with the Department of Biology, Ataturk University, where she became Assistant Professor in 2018. .
