Advances in Brain-Computer Interfaces and Neural Integration

Instructions for Authors
The Advances in Brain-Computer Interfaces and Neural Integration journal invites submissions of high-quality original research, reviews, and other article types that contribute to the advancement of brain-computer interface technologies. To ensure a smooth submission and review process, authors should adhere to the following guidelines.
Submission Guidelines:
Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to create an account and submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word format. All manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
Authors should submit a cover letter with their manuscript. The cover letter should outline the significance of the research, explain its relevance to the journal’s scope, and confirm that the manuscript has not been previously published or is not under consideration by another journal.
Article Types:
The journal accepts the following article types:
Research Articles: Comprehensive studies of original research focused on BCI technology, including system design, signal processing, and applications.
Review Articles: In-depth reviews of existing literature, providing insights into current trends, challenges, and future directions in the field of BCI.
Short Communications: Brief reports on significant findings or preliminary research that is of importance to the BCI field.
Case Studies: Reports detailing unique applications or results of BCI technology in clinical or real-world settings.
Policy Papers: Articles analyzing the societal, ethical, and regulatory implications of BCI technology and its widespread adoption.
Manuscript Structure:
Title Page: The title page should include the title of the manuscript, author names, affiliations, and the contact details of the corresponding author.
Abstract: Provide a structured summary (150-250 words) outlining the research objectives, methods, key findings, and conclusions. The abstract should be concise and understandable to a wide audience.
Keywords: Include 5-7 keywords that will help categorize and index your article.
Introduction: Introduce the topic, outline the research question, and state the significance of the study in the context of BCI technologies.
Materials and Methods: Provide a detailed description of the experimental methods, including the hardware, software, and data analysis techniques used in the study. This section should be reproducible.
Results: Present the main findings of the study, supported by tables, figures, and appropriate statistical analyses.
Discussion: Interpret the results in the context of existing literature, and discuss potential applications, challenges, and directions for future research.
Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and their implications for the development and application of BCI technologies.
References: All citations should be in APA format. Ensure that all references are relevant and up-to-date.
Figures and Tables:
Figures and tables should be placed within the manuscript, clearly numbered, and accompanied by descriptive captions. All images should meet the required resolution for both print and online publication (at least 300 dpi).
Review Process:
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process. The journal aims to provide initial feedback within four to six weeks, and authors will be required to revise their manuscript based on reviewer comments. Manuscripts will be accepted based on scientific quality and relevance to the journal’s scope.
Ethical Considerations:
All authors must ensure that their research complies with ethical guidelines. For studies involving human or animal subjects, appropriate ethical approval must be obtained from an institutional review board or ethics committee. This approval must be stated in the manuscript.
Copyright and Open Access:
Upon acceptance of an article, the copyright will be transferred to the journal. All articles are published under an open-access model, making them freely accessible to researchers, clinicians, and the public worldwide.
Publication Fees:
A publication fee of $1,500 is applicable to accepted articles. Authors who are unable to meet this fee may apply for a fee reduction or waiver by contacting the editorial office prior to submission.
