Digital Humanities, Social Science and Cultural Preservation

Instructions for Authors

Digital Humanities, Social Science and Cultural Preservation welcomes original research articles, theoretical studies, case studies, and reviews that align with the journal’s scope. Authors are encouraged to follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth submission and review process.

Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format and submitted via the journal’s online submission system. A cover letter should accompany each submission, briefly outlining the significance of the manuscript, confirming that the work is original and unpublished, and stating that it is not under consideration elsewhere. All authors must approve the final version before submission.

The journal accepts various types of articles, including full-length research articles that present original findings based on empirical or theoretical investigations. Review articles offering comprehensive evaluations of existing literature in digital humanities, social science, and cultural preservation are also welcomed. Case studies that document significant projects, methodologies, or innovations in digital preservation and social science research are encouraged. In addition, the journal considers methodological papers that introduce new computational techniques, software applications, or digital tools relevant to humanities and cultural studies.

Manuscripts should adhere to the following structure:

The title page must include the manuscript title, author names, affiliations, and complete contact details. An abstract of 150–250 words should summarize the study’s objectives, methods, key findings, and significance. Authors should also provide 5–10 relevant keywords to facilitate indexing. The introduction should outline the background, objectives, and significance of the research, followed by the materials and methods section, which should provide a clear description of research methodologies, including digital tools, analytical frameworks, and computational techniques used.

The results section should present findings using appropriate textual explanations, tables, and figures. The discussion should interpret results in relation to existing literature, highlighting theoretical and practical implications. The conclusion should summarize key findings and suggest directions for future research. All references must be formatted in APA citation style to maintain consistency across published articles.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors can expect initial feedback within four to six weeks, and revisions may be requested based on reviewer comments. The final decision on acceptance is based on scientific rigor, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Accepted articles are published under an open-access model, ensuring free and global accessibility. Authors retain the right to distribute their published work, but copyright is transferred to the journal upon acceptance. The journal requires a publication fee of $1019 per accepted manuscript. Fee waivers or reductions may be granted in exceptional cases upon request.
