Instructions for Authors

Energy Science, Engineering, and Policy provides a platform for high-quality research covering all aspects of energy science, engineering, and policy. Authors are requested to carefully follow the submission guidelines to ensure a smooth review and publication process.

Submission Guidelines:

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the online submission system in Microsoft Word format, with text, tables, and figures included in a single file. Manuscripts should be accompanied by a cover letter containing the corresponding author’s full contact details, including email and phone number. Submissions must be original and should not have been published or be under consideration elsewhere.

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors approve the final manuscript before submission. Manuscripts must be formatted in accordance with the journal’s requirements, and authors may be asked to make revisions to improve clarity and readability.

Article Types:

Research Articles: Comprehensive studies presenting original research, with detailed methodologies and significant findings.

Review Articles: Critical evaluations of existing literature that provide new insights and synthesize recent advances in the field.

Short Communications: Concise reports on novel methodologies, preliminary research findings, or emerging trends.

Policy Perspectives: Analytical discussions on energy policies, regulatory frameworks, and their broader implications for society.

Manuscript Structure:

  1. Title Page: The title should be concise and informative. Include the full names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors. The corresponding author should be indicated.
  2. Abstract: A structured summary (150-250 words) outlining the research background, methodology, key findings, and implications.
  3. Keywords: Provide 5-10 relevant keywords to aid indexing.
  4. Introduction: Clearly state the research problem, objectives, and significance of the study, supported by relevant literature.
  5. Materials and Methods: Provide sufficient detail to allow replication of the study. Established methods should be cited, and modifications must be clearly described.
  6. Results: Present findings clearly with supporting tables and figures. Avoid repeating data in multiple formats.
  7. Discussion: Interpret findings in the context of existing research, addressing implications and potential limitations.
  8. Conclusion: Summarize key insights and suggest possible directions for future research.
  9. Acknowledgments: Recognize funding sources and individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet authorship criteria.
  10. References: Follow a standard citation style such as APA or IEEE. Ensure accuracy and consistency.

Review Process:

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process. Editors may seek input from both internal editorial board members and external reviewers. Authors will receive initial feedback within three weeks. Revisions may be requested, and final acceptance is contingent upon satisfactory modifications. Accepted manuscripts will be published online within two months.

Copyright and Open Access:

Upon acceptance, the authors agree to transfer the copyright to the journal. All articles are published under an open-access model, ensuring wide dissemination and accessibility.

Publication Fees:

A processing fee of $1019 USD applies to accepted articles. Payment of the fee does not guarantee acceptance. Authors with financial constraints may request a waiver or partial reduction in advance.
