Instructions for Authors

The International Journal of Applied Food Science and Nutrition invites submissions of original research articles, review papers, case studies, and short communications that align with its scope. Authors should adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a smooth submission process.

Submission Guidelines:

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word format via the journal’s online submission system.

A cover letter should accompany each submission, providing the corresponding author's details and confirming that the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.

All co-authors must approve the final manuscript before submission.

Article Types:

Research Articles: Comprehensive studies presenting original research findings.

Review Articles: In-depth analyses of literature with critical insights and future directions.

Case Studies: Reports on practical applications of food science and nutrition in real-world settings.

Short Communications: Concise reports on preliminary but significant findings.

Manuscript Structure:

  1. Title Page: Title, author names, affiliations, and contact details.
  2. Abstract: A structured summary (150-250 words) highlighting objectives, methods, key findings, and implications.
  3. Keywords: 5-10 relevant keywords for indexing.
  4. Introduction: Background information, research objectives, and significance of the study.
  5. Materials and Methods: Detailed methodology, including experimental design, sample preparation, and statistical analyses.
  6. Results: Presentation of key findings with supporting figures and tables.
  7. Discussion: Interpretation of results, comparison with existing research, and practical applications.
  8. Conclusion: Summary of findings and recommendations for future research.
  9. References: Cited sources formatted in APA or Harvard style.

Review Process: All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Authors can expect initial feedback within four weeks, with revisions requested if necessary. Final acceptance is subject to satisfactory revisions.

Copyright and Open Access: Upon acceptance, authors will transfer the copyright to the journal. Articles are published under an open-access model to ensure broad dissemination.

Publication Fees: A processing fee of $1019 USD applies to accepted articles. Authors with financial constraints may request a waiver or partial fee reduction.
