Journal of Microbiome Research and Health Applications

Instructions for Authors
The Journal of Microbiome Research and Health Applications invites high-quality submissions on research that advances the understanding of the microbiome and its health applications. Authors are encouraged to follow the submission guidelines outlined below to ensure that the manuscript undergoes a smooth review process.
Submission Guidelines:
Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to create an account and submit their manuscripts in Microsoft Word format. All manuscripts must be original and should not have been published or under consideration elsewhere.
A cover letter must accompany the manuscript. The cover letter should briefly describe the significance of the work, explain why the article is suitable for the Journal of Microbiome Research and Health Applications, and confirm that all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.
Article Types:
The journal publishes the following article types:
- Research Articles: Detailed studies of original research in microbiome science, with clear methodologies, results, and implications for human health.
- Review Articles: Comprehensive overviews of specific topics in microbiome research, summarizing current knowledge and identifying research gaps.
- Case Studies: In-depth reports on unique cases or interventions demonstrating the applications of microbiome research in clinical settings.
- Short Communications: Brief articles reporting preliminary findings or significant observations that warrant quick dissemination.
- Policy Papers: Articles analyzing the implications of microbiome research on public health policy, regulation, and clinical practice.
Manuscript Structure:
Title Page: Include the title of the manuscript, author names, affiliations, and the corresponding author’s contact details. The corresponding author will be responsible for communication with the editorial office.
Abstract: Provide a structured summary (150-250 words) of the research objectives, methodology, key results, and conclusions. The abstract should be concise and accessible to both researchers and healthcare professionals.
Keywords: Provide 5-7 relevant keywords to assist with indexing and search optimization.
Introduction: Include a concise background, objectives of the study, and the importance of the research in the context of the microbiome and its application in health.
Materials and Methods: Provide a detailed description of the methods used in the study, including experimental design, data collection, and statistical analysis. This section should be clear enough to allow replication of the study.
Results: Present the key findings, including relevant tables, figures, and statistical analyses. Describe the data clearly and include all necessary explanations for any visual representations.
Discussion: Interpret the results in light of existing research, discuss the implications for health and disease, and suggest avenues for future research or clinical application.
Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and their relevance to microbiome research and health applications. Discuss any potential clinical implications or health policy considerations.
References: All citations should follow APA format. Ensure that references are relevant, recent, and adhere to the journal’s citation style.
Figures and Tables: Figures and tables should be inserted into the manuscript text. All figures and tables should be clearly numbered and include a descriptive caption. The quality of the figures must meet high standards (at least 300 dpi) for both print and online versions.
Review Process: All manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review. The journal’s editorial board will initially assess submissions to ensure that they meet the scope and quality requirements. If appropriate, manuscripts will be sent for peer review, and authors will receive reviewer feedback within four to six weeks. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer comments. The final decision on manuscript acceptance will depend on the reviewers’ evaluation and the quality of the revised manuscript.
Ethical Considerations: Authors should ensure that their research complies with ethical standards, particularly regarding the use of human or animal subjects. Ethical approval must be obtained from an institutional review board or ethics committee and disclosed in the manuscript.
Copyright and Open Access: Upon acceptance, authors will transfer copyright of their manuscript to the journal. The journal follows an open-access publishing model, which ensures that all articles are freely accessible to the global scientific community, maximizing the impact of the research.
