Biography of Gregorio Rangel Gregorio Rangel is one civil servant of National Health Laboratory, Ministry of Health, Timor-Leste. He was completed his post graduate diploma in applied parasitology and entomology at institute for medical research (IMR), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2014. He was concluded his master degree in Biomedical Science in Ubon Ratchathani University, Thailand in 2018. In government institutions, He was work with National Malaria Program, Ministry of Health from 2009-2013 and National Health Laboratory from 2013-2021. In partnership development, He has been worked as national consultant for World Health Organization Timor-Leste from November ? December 2020 with project ?Infection Prevention and Control?. He has also been worked as national consultant for World Health Organization Timor-Leste from September 2021-July 2022, project entitled ?Essential Health Services during COVID-19 period?. He has been also worked as national assessor for National Agency for Academic Assessment and Accreditation (NAAAA) from July-September 2022. He is a young scientist in medical laboratory. He has contributed various research and publication in biomedical science. Currently, he is working as head of department (equivalent national director) of exacts and natural science, National Institute for science and technology, Timor-Leste. He also a full-time lecturer at department of Biomedical Laboratory Science, Dili Health Science Institute, Timor-Leste. He is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Nis, Department of Microelectronics,andat the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, and a ScientificAdviser at the Institute of Technical Sciences of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.Professor Mitic obtained his B.Sc. degree 1982 in Material science at theFaculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Nis, M.Sc. degree 1990 in Material science at the Faculty of Electr?technical Engineering, University of Belgrade and Ph.D. in Material science at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Nis. His research intrests are ceramic materials, especialy electronic materials, sintering, materials microstructure analysis, fractals,neural networks and graph theory. He pioneered application of fractal nature analysis on ceramics materials microstructure characterization. His research area also includes nanotechnology and alternative energy sources and energy storage. Prof. Mitic has published over 600 scientific publications, including more than 110 SCI papers (h index 18, number of citations over 1100).He was the Chair and the participant in a few international scientific projectsleading by European Space Agency (ESA), NASA, NSF, etc.As Plenary, Keynote and Invited lecturer, Professor Mitic took part at more than 110 scientific conferences, in more than 30 countries. He is Editor in over 6 international scientific journals, and Referee more than 50 times in more than 15 international scientific journals. Professor Mitic is Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and Delegate for Serbia, Member of the World Academy of Ceramics, Fellow of The American Ceramic Society and Chairmen of the Serbian Chapter,President of the Serbian Ceramics Society,and in more than 20 other international associations.
Research Intrest:
Ceramic materials – electronic ceramic materials, sintering, materials microstructure analysis, fractals, neural networks and graph theory. Professor Mitic studied the properties of BaTiO3-ceramics, along with a minimization method of a subset of the structure parameters. He was the first one in the world to use fractal analysis as an efficient research method on the ceramic material structure at the nano and micro scale, proving that grain surfaces are fractal, opening new perspectives for further electronic circuits miniaturization. The classic Coble's two-sphere model is generalized into an ellipsoid-isohedral one, with the establishment of contact parameters and the corresponding correction of the intergranular capacity. His research and published papers provide a fractal correction of the capacitance of the intergranular micro-capacitance of the Heywang model, the Curie-Weiss law, and the Clausius-Mossotti relation. Renewable and alternative energy sources and energy storage with fractal analysis application, as an important nowadays issue, are also the part of Professor Mitic’s research field. The latest research focuses on application of neural networks and graph theory on electronics parameters determination at the microstructure level.

Mauro Zarrelli, born in 1974, he received his Master degree cum Laude in Material Engineering at University of Naples in 1998 and his PhD degree in Advanced Materials at Cranfield University in 2004. He was assistant Research at School of industrial and Manufacturing Science at Cranfield University from 1998 to 2002 working on thermo-chemo characterization of novel polymer composite matrix for aerospace application (Cranfield University - EPSRC funded project) and he received an AUDI Foundation grant (2001) as young researcher for the development of new holder jig to measure mechanical modulus during the polymerization reaction of modified thermosetting matrix system. He has extensively worked on cure induced stress deformation during the manufacturing of composites and physical-chemical changes due to the polymerization of thermosetting resin. From 2002 to 2004 as Responsible for the Thermal Analysis and Mechanical activities of Italian Aerospace Research Centre (CIRA) in Italy, he was involved in several EU and national projects within the area of composites characterization and design. He is currently Permanent Researcher at the Institute of Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials (IPCB) at National Research Council (CNR) of Italy. He is currently contract professor for the University of Campania at the Dept. of Industrial and Information Engineering holding the course of “Experimental technique for Aerospace Structures” for the Aerospace Engineering faculty since 2015. His main research interests include: development of advanced composites, mechanical characterization of material and structures, nano-reinforcement of thermosetting resin for composites application, cure dependent property, cure induced stresses in composite, viscoelasticity, and (as Responsible for an on going national project) resistance to fire of micro and nanoloaded thermosets. His has published more than 80 scientific peer-reviewed papers in international journal, more than 80 contributions to international and national conferences and 6 book contributions.
